About Sarah

I began playing golf when I was 17 years old and in high school. They needed one more girl for the golf team in order to have a girl's team and not have to play with the boys. In addition, I had a neighbor who was interested in golf and was nice enough to let me tag along when she played and took lessons.

When I enrolled in college at the University of New Mexico, Title IX was paving the way for girls like me to be a part of a competitive sport. Once again, I found myself with the opportunity to play golf. The University of New Mexico was one of the top teams in the country and I was practicing and playing golf with some of the best female collegiate golfer's day in and day out.

My love for the game grew and with hard work and the drive to improve, a Golf Pro was born. In 1990, I returned to my alma mater to coach the Lobo Women's Golf Team and in 1998 I became the Head Golf Professional at the Quail Run Club in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Each step of the way I have been fortunate to experience many successes as well as many opportunities to learn and develop as both a teacher and player. I was lucky to have the help, support and encouragement of many kind and generous individuals along the way. I truly enjoy teaching golf and giving back to the game that has given me so much.
